Render the scene. There is blue overlay on the mountains. This is because we used a blue sky Color Map for the Fog as well. I think that it does not look very good.

So, Turn Off this Color Map as shown. Then render again.

To get remedy of the bad blue overlay, we have vanished the background sky under fog. Actually, the reason is, when the Fog’s color map was on it impacts the fog’s appearance. That is why it shows the similar sky in the background which was actually a part of fog’s appearance.

So, to see our original background sky, decrease both the Near % and Far % of the Fog.

Render again.

Let’s use the non-foggy version (for clear and sunny day) and use another Sky Map (present one has not much clouds details). Uncheck the “Active” option and assign a new texture to the Background Environment Map.

Render again. Feel free to continue experimenting and practice.

For example, you can lower all the Bump values for all materials to 5 if you think the present appearance looks too bumpy and noisy. Here is a rendered version from such low Bump material settings. You can also play with lights, backgrounds etc. There is no hard rule in the CG area. So, break the rules after you are aware of the rules and tools. That’s all for today.
